Small Animal Retraction System

This Small Animal Retraction System, which mainly consists of Base Plate, Magnetic Fixators and Retractors, simplifies set-up procedure and provides the examiner with an excellent overview of the operative site.

All components as shown in order information can be purchased individually or in kits.

The Base Plates are made from magnetic stainless steel and could be customized as your requirements. The surface is nonreflective and have a plastic rectangle plate in the center which allows the animal direct contact gently and also being added heating pads optionally to keep the animal body temperature. The central plate sizes are 12 x 20.5cm. Meanwhile, the front allows to set up one optional bracket for our concentric masks for gas inhalation anesthesia during operation.

The Fixators are movable anchors made from anodized aluminum with a surgical grade rare earth magnet in the base for attachment anywhere on the Base Plate. Two sizes in height are available for different animals and surgical sites. They incorporate pushbutton-activated spring locks that grip either the Wire or Bead Chain Elastomer Retractors.

The Retractors with 5 size tips available are interchangeable and also could be customized as your requirements. The Retractor Tips which attach to Retractor Wire for static retraction are light and atraumatic to delicate tissue or membrane. In addition, the optional Bead Chain Elastomer Retractors are also helpful to fix the four legs or retract the incisor.
