SX100 Stereotaxic

This type of SX100 stereotaxic for rat and mouse  (also known as the "stereotaxic alignment system") provides the excellent ability to finely level the head in three-dimensional space before exploring brain experiments. That is, after the head is fixed by ear bars and nose clips (inserting ear canals, locking incisors and pressing nose bridges), there is no need to repeatedly lift and fall the ear bars and nose clips. Instead, the entire head together with the animal body is finely leveled through a "multi-dimensional adjustment mechanism" that performs sagital tilt (dorsal/ventral), coronal tilt (medial-lateral), anterior/posterior and midline alignment adjustments. The significant advantages of this design shows that: (1) the head only needs to be fixed once, without repeatedly toss about the animal head, that avoiding interference with the animal. (2) Reduce the time-consuming operation of lifting and falling ear bars and nose clips, significantly improving the efficiency of the entire experiment. (3) Multi-dimensional leveling is a fine adjustment that is more precise than the coarse adjustment method of direct pushing and pulling.

  Technical Features  

1. The head is leveled from left to right (coronal plane), from front to back (sagittal plane), and the center line is centered from left to right (sagittal plane), all of which are knob fine tuning and real-time self-locking.

2. The height of the ear bar and nose clip is fixed, and the nose clip can move from forward to backward. A nose clip with an anesthesia mask is optionally installed.

3. The nose clip post with double-use design allows easily change rat or mouse nose clip by only rotating 180° clockwise or counterclockwise in the vertical direction.

4. The animal body is equipped with non-metallic trays that can hold insulation blankets to reduce rapid heat loss and ensure good insulation effect.

5. The ear bar post allows installing the "rat and mouse spinal cord clip (Cat no.30-2017)” for spinal cord experiments such as vertical and oblique injection.

6. No "towering" mechanism in front of the animal's head, that providing a wide field of view and facilitating other related experiments.

7.  Optionally install dual manipulators and LCD display with 10um resolution.
